13-14 April La Savetat-Le Reclos a day of rest and then 26 kilometres

Easter Monday Arriving in La Salvetat after a day walking through the snow we thought it might be time to throw in the scallop and head home. Our guide book said that there was a bus to Beziers twice a day. From there we could make out way home by coach or train. But, it was Easter Monday - no buses, no tourist office open. The room in the Cafe Pergola was comfortable and we decided to stay put and see what the next day brought. We strolled around the town, watched the snow melt, ate a good lunch at the Forge and a not-very-good dinner at the Forestiere. The next day the temperature hovered around 5 centigrade and the mist was down on the hiils but the forecast was 'not too bad'. If we started walking we would have to walk to Castres - the next place where we could take a bus or train. We did.
